For your ceremony to be legal, it must include the following:

• Statement of Intent

• Sharing of Vows

• Marriage Licence Signing

• Declaration by a Registered Marriage Officiant​

 

Below you will find the order of a traditional wedding ceremony.

If you include all of the ceremony elements, your ceremony will be approximately 30 minutes in length.  Other than the elements listed above, everything else is optional and can be included in your ceremony if you choose to.

• Processional

• Welcome & Opening Words

• Family & Guest Affirmations

• Prayer or Reading

• Message to the Couple

• Statement of Intent

• Vow Exchange

• Ring Exchange

• Second Reading

• Signing of the Licence

• Special Ceremony

• Announcements

• Closing Words or Prayer

• Declaration (you can also be declared before the signing of the licence)

• Kiss

• Presentation as a Married Couple

• Recessional

• Musical Postlude as Guests leave the Ceremony
